Letter from the Owners

As young children we were inspired by outdoor activities and just plain fun on three wheelers, motorcycles, boats, and doom buggies. We both grew up in the Evansville area and were high school sweethearts. Jeff worked as a vice-president of international operations for a large local company and I had spent over 20 years in education as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Jeff’s employment took us away from the Evansville area twice in over 30 years of marriage, but something kept drawing us back.   We had a dream to make an investment in a business in our hometown, Evansville, IN. In 2017, Jeff and I moved forward with acquiring the assets of Big 4 Cycle & Marine under our business name, Torqued.  

We have three children Zach, Chris, and Lauren as well as three grandchildren Evelyn, Brayton, and Maeleigh. We have a family business with our son Chris on our Sales Team. Zach and Lauren as well as the grandchildren help often in the store when we have special events such as Open House and Customer Appreciation Days.  Our long-term staff members include Store Manager Roger and Certified/long-term tech Adam. Our carefully chosen team have respect for people and always do their best to be kind, have a great attitude, and never give up. They truly are exceptional! We have all worked together as a tight-knit team for years, which is part of what sets us apart from other dealers in the powersports business. Working with family and friends requires integrity and opacity, which always encourages us to try harder and to do the right thing. 

At present we still play an active role in the business and have established strong relationships around the country with reputable sources to ensure that only the cleanest powersports units make the cut to our lot.  We both enjoy traveling, golfing, boating, motorcycle excursions, and constantly seek ways to live a healthier lifestyle. 

At Big 4 Cycle & Marine our dealership has evolved on the same principles of hard work and professionalism that we have incorporated since we started in 2017. Our Master Technicians are passionate about service & customer satisfaction, doing whatever it takes to provide you with the best care. We have a full menu of services including oil changes, winterizations, belt adjustment/replacement,  tire balancing and installation,  and much more. In addition, our sales department offers reputable service contracts, GAP insurance, and low interest financing from a variety of banks and credit unions.

We are grateful and truly care about our clients that we interact with both locally, throughout the United States, and around the world. We sell and ship powersports units all over the US. It’s important for us to be transparent and honest in all our interactions, and at Big 4 Cycle & Marine we are constantly searching for new ways to improve and streamline our operations.
